SPOTLIGHT will take you for a ride on the wild side playing a special part in London’s House and Techno scene.

We are going to feature some of today’s most cutting edge underground musical selections presenting a combined sound that aims to drive deep into the heart of futuristic, melodic House and Techno music.

Last few events were absolutely insane and we need continue delivering. THIS MONTH marks even bigger guest Bearweasel (Tsuba) joining our residents Philipp Ort and Theo Komp.

Bearweasel from the early days lapping up UK rave on tired old cassettes via pouring over every last word in Future Music Magazine and perennial weekend sessions soundtracked by the likes of Newcastle’s Shindig and master jocks including DJ Sneak, Stacey Pullen and Green Velvet, music has always been Dean Mushin’s porn of choice.

Now one half of production duo Bearweasel alongside Louisa Page, Dean has quietly gone about his way, earning the respect of his peers and the love of those he plays to courtesy of consistently classy DJ sets (when you have taste making e-zines like Resident Advisor chatting about your lauded warm-up sets, you know you¹re doing something right) and tracks and remixes for the likes of Tsuba, Classic, Soma, Brendon Moeller and Stevie Kotey’s Hairy Claw.

Whilst the chirpy Geordie himself refers to his own musical taste as ‘boring’ those who embark on a sonic journey with him will always disagree: it would be foolish to call considered and carefully crafted sets which balance progress with precision, subtlety with style, boring. Instead, they are tasteful excursions into the deepest caverns of house music which attack both the head and the heel, and do so without unnecessary fuss.

Striking such a balance is what Dean does best; his obsession with residencies and the demands of such a job show a dedication to his art and to the music he plays.

NOW WE ALL KNOW HOW GEORDIE’S PUT IT DOWN…

Of course SPOTLIGHT wouldn’t be the same without PHILIPP ORT, owner of Black&White Orange Records and Pins and Needles and THEO KOMP who brings a lot of Greek heat to London.

Join us on the 31st March 2012 at 10pm until late hours for what will be a new adventure in sound and style.

Let’s explore the music and artists that have performed across the globe featuring influences from different parts of Europe and mixing the edgiest sounds of techno and house!!
